Harrison High School Sophomore Receives ACE Scholar Award

HHS Sophomore Nicole McAdam Receives Distinction from WCC in College Accounting

HHS Sophomore Nicole McAdam has been named an Outstanding ACE (Advanced College Experience) Scholar by Westchester Community College for 2014-15. Nicole is currently taking College Accounting at Harrison High School and was nominated by teacher Christopher Elsesser in this particular discipline.

“Throughout the year Nicole has eagerly accepted the rigorous challenge of striving for and achieving academic excellence in our Financial Accounting Class,” said Elsesser in his recommendation letter. “Nicole has established herself as a leader among her peers, by serving as a role model and unofficial accounting tutor. I am proud of her classroom initiatives to always strive for excellence, ask provocative questions, and be willing to take risks with difficult concepts in front of her peers.”

Nicole will be recognized at the annual ACE Scholars Reception on May 18th, 2015.
