HCSD Welcomes Stephanie Goldman As New Assistant Principal at Parsons
Promoted To New Role Following Highly Successful Tenure as Classroom Teacher and Literacy Specialist

The Harrison Central School District is excited to announce that Stephanie Goldman has assumed a leadership position as the new Assistant Principal at Parsons Memorial Elementary School. Ms. Goldman was promoted to this leadership role following her highly successful tenure as classroom teacher at the Parsons School.
Before joining the Harrison faculty in 2008 as a third and fourth grade teacher, Ms. Goldman taught second and fourth grade at the Wakefield School in New York City. As an expert teacher, Ms. Goldman has led professional development for her colleagues with a focus on writing workshop, positive discipline, and the use of Smartboard technology in the classroom. During her administrative internship, Ms. Goldman provided daily supervision to the summer Bridges to Literacy program, which helps emerging readers to develop their reading and writing skills through an intensive summer clinic.
Ms. Goldman has also presented to the Board of Education and the Harrison PTA on the use of student performance data. She has also partnered with the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction on the Tri-State Consortium, which involves a partnership with other school districts and focuses on district-wide improvements to curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Ms. Goldman has lent her considerable expertise to the district’s fine and performing arts program by serving as the technical director of several of Harrison’s award-winning musical performances.

Ms. Goldman earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Special Education from Manhattan College. Ms. Goldman was also nominated by the Superintendent of Schools to enroll in the prestigious Future School Leaders Academy at Bank Street College, where she completed graduate course work in school leadership.
