Helicopter Takes Off From Westchester, Lands In The Atlantic

BREAKING: The helicopter carrying WWE's Shane McMahon went down after making a mayday call Wednesday morning.

GILGO BEACH, NY - A helicopter made an emergency landing in the Atlantic Ocean off Long Island Wednesday morning. It happened around 10:25 a.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Shane McMahon, the son of WWE owner and chairman Vince McMahon, and another person on board the Robinson R44 escaped injury.

The FAA said the helicopter had taken off from Westchester County Airport and the pilot made a mayday call before putting the helicopter down in the water. The FAA described the incident as a crash, but photos and video from the scene show the helicopter resting on pontoons.
