HHS DECA Team Sends Three More to National DECA Competition
Thirty one Harrison High School students competed at New York State DECA Conference

Congratulations to the nearly 40 members of the Harrison High School DECA Business Club team for their outstanding showing at the DECA New York State Competition held recently in Rochester, New York. Students who place in the top 5 of their event have qualified for the National DECA Competition (ICDC’s) in Orlando, Florida at the end of April.
Harrison High School students participating at Nationals are:
Jake Carnavalla – 3rd Place (Principles in Finance)
Jack Wittee – 5th Place (Sports & Entertainment Marketing – team event)
Jared Silber – 5th Place (Sports & Entertainment Marketing – team event)
The following two HHS students placed in the Top 5 of the State but their event is not held at the National convention:
Will Marriott - 3rd Place (Public Speaking – Prepared)
Luke Steinthal – 4th Place (Broadcast Advertising Radio Ad event)

The scoring for a DECA competition consists of two parts – a multiple choice test and role play.
The following students placed in the Top 10 on the multiple choice portion on their event and received a medal for their efforts:
