Parsons Elementary Students Participate in Valentine's For Veterans Event

The Green Key Club at Parsons Elementary School organized, helped create, and hand-delivered 388 Valentine’s Day Cards to local veterans at the annual Valentines-for-Vets event. The event was spearheaded by New York State Assemblyman David Buchwald and it is Parsons Elementary Schools second consecutive year taking part in this event with the Assemblyman.

“The Parsons Green Key Club promoted the activity and encouraged the Parsons community to create Valentines to show appreciation and respect to our local veterans,” said club advisor Emily Almeida. “The Green Key members were honored and excited to have a meet and greet with several veterans, active military servicemen and Assemblyman Buchwald. This was such a special experience for them.”
