Purchase College Students Help Clean Up Edith Read Sanctuary in Rye

Forty students from the Introduction to Environmental Science class at Purchase College recently participated in the International Coastal Cleanup at the Edith Read Sanctuary in Rye, the school announced.

During the event, the students recovered more than 200 pounds of trash from the beach.

The environmental studies BA program at Purchase College reflects an interdisciplinary focus on the interactions among the sociopolitical, economic, and ecological systems where the natural world and human society overlap.
