State Police: Yonkers Woman, 26, Injures Trooper During DWI Arrest in Harrison
Villanueva provided a positive breath sample of .16%, twice the legal limit, according to state police.

Delmy Villanueva, 26, of Yonkers kicked a New York State trooper in the face with one of her high heels during a DWI arrest early Saturday and caused “serious injury” to the trooper’s eye, according to authorities.
The incident occurred at about 2 a.m. on I-684 in Harrison when Villanueva was seen driving on the rims of her vehicle. She allegedly became belligerent during her arrest kicked the trooper.

On November 1, 2014 at approximately 2:00 a.m., the State Police received a call of a vehicle traveling northbound on I-684 in the Town of Harrison driving on it’s rims. The vehicle subsequently struck the guide rail numerous times and punctured its tire. Troopers from the Somers Barracks stopped the vehicle and the operator Delmy Villanueva, 26 of Yonkers NY was found to be intoxicated. She was secured in a State Police vehicle when she became irate and began kicking the interior of the vehicle. The Troopers attempted to restrain her, while doing so she kicked a Trooper in the face with her high-heel shoe causing serious injury to the Trooper’s eye. She was subdued and transported to the Somers Barracks for processing. Villanueva provided a positive breath sample of .16%, twice the legal limit. Villanueva was charged with Assaulting a Police Officer, a Felony as well as Resisting Arrest, Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicenced Operation of a Motor Vehicle all Misdemeanors and numerous traffic infractions. She was arraigned before the Town of Harrison Court and remanded to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. She is due to appear in the Town of Harrison Court on November 9, 2014 at 9:00 a.m.
