UPDATE: Crash Cleared Merritt Parkway Is Reopened

Update: 12:01 p.m.

The scene the rollover crash near Exit 35 of the Merritt Parkway has been cleared and the road reopened.

However, traffic is backed up from Stamford to the New York State line, according to a WCBS 880 traffic report.

There also is construction in the area.

The northbound Merritt Parkway is closed between Exit 35 (Route 137 - High Ridge Road in Stamford) and Exit 36 (Route 106 in New Canaan) because of a motor vehicle crash involving an overturned motor vehicle, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

The crash was reported about 10:48 a.m. Friday and the DOT couldn’t estimate when the road would be reopened.

Traveling along I-95 isn’t much better as a crash near Exit 10 in Darien has closed two lanes of the highway.
