Wings Air Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing On High School Baseball Field
The aircraft owned by the innovative Westchester-based charter company had two people on board when it reported engine issues.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — An aircraft owned by an innovative Westchester County-based charter operation ran into trouble over Connecticut, but the story has a happy ending.
A helicopter that had reported having engine trouble made an emergency landing Tuesday evening at Stamford High School, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
"A Eurocopter AS350 landed on a baseball field in Stamford, Connecticut, around 6:50 p.m. local time on Tuesday, March 17, after the pilot reported engine issues," an FAA spokesperson told Patch. "Two people were on board. The FAA will investigate."

According to the FAA, the helicopter is registered to West Harrison-based Wings Air Helicopters, a charter company.

No injuries were reported in the emergency landing, but according to News 12 Connecticut, witnesses saw the helicopter surrounded by police after landing.
