HARRISON, NY — Yoga is therapeutic. So are animals. And now Yoga with Ang is combining the two for a special yoga workshop at the Harrison Library.
"It has been a dream of mine to take my favorite things in life (yoga, the library, and animals) and combine them," said Angela Brandt, owner of the local yoga studio. "It's a proven fact that being in the company of animals help reduce stress. Watching little kittens pounce around will bring smiles to the Yogis. We will do some basic yoga poses. Everyone can stretch and move but it doesn't have to be so serious. I'm hoping to create a joyful and fun energy in the room."
It is open to people at all levels of yoga practice.

The free event will feature adoptable cats. And if you're not in the market for a new pet, there will be a local jewelery maker there selling animal-related items, with the profits going to the pet rescue organization.
"I'm also currently working to perhaps have a dog class in the next month or so, Brandt said. "And I am willing to work with any animal rescue. I'm a bunny rescuer. A bunny class is my ultimate dream."
