Young Families Make Breakfast Bags for the Hungry

UJA-Federation of New York families from Harrison-Purchase and Rye-Rye Brook pack bags with food for pantry.

Harrison-Purchase and Rye-Rye Brook families came together on Sunday, February 11, 2018, to decorate and pack 120 breakfast bags filled with cereal, non-perishable milk, fruit, and other items. More than 60 UJA-Federation of New York volunteers — both adults and children — packed the bags, which were donated to the food pantry at the Mary J. Blige Center for Women, which is run by UJA’s partner agency, Westchester Jewish Community Services. The Yonkers center helps women and girls in the areas of early childhood development, parenting, after-school support, and academic and job readiness.
