16-Year-Old Long Island Girl Missing

A New York State Missing Child Alert has been issued related to the disappearance of 16-year-old Samantha McNeill, of Smithtown.

Samantha, who is believed to be suicidal, was last seen at her home on South Plaisted Avenue at midnight Monday. She may be in the local area or she may have traveled to New York City, police said.

Samantha is white, 5-foot-5, 180 pounds, with black hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call Suffolk Police at 631-854-8400 or dial 911.
