3 Arrested After Stealing Car From McDonald's Parking Lot: SCPD

A highway officer saw the trio driving the stolen car on the Long Island Expressway, police say.

ISLANDIA, NY — Three people who stole a vehicle from a McDonald's parking lot in Manorville were arrested on Thursday afternoon, Suffolk police said. The theft happened around 4:15 p.m., police said.

The trio was seen driving the stolen vehicle by a highway officer on the Long Island Expressway, police said. The driver pulled over in Islandia, and the driver and two passengers ran away, police said. They were arrested and will be charged with third-degree grand larceny, police said.

Police could not yet release the names of the people arrested or any other details.
