THE BEST OF THE BEST ON LONG ISLAND

Hauppauge High School Senior Alexa Joseph has been named a Long Island Arts Alliance Scholar-Artist for theatre for the 2015-2016 school year. Each year, the Long Island Scholar-Artist program recognizes students who excel academically and in the areas of either music, visual arts, dance, theatre or media arts.

The Scholar-Artists are recognized to be “the best of the best” on Long Island in their individual disciplines. The high school seniors are nominated by their respective school districts and ten each from Suffolk and Nassau County receive the program’s highest honors designation. Scholar-Artists also are eligible for scholarships to several Long Island colleges.
