HAUPPAUGE FILM STUDENTS WIN 4 BEST IN SHOW AWARDS AT LONG ISLAND MEDIA ARTS SHOW; PRESENT 3 FILMS AT FIRST EXPOSURE STUDENT FILM FESTIVAL

Hauppauge High School’s IB film students won four Best in Show Awards out of the 80 films that were shown at the Long Island Media Arts Show, which was held at Five Towns College in Dix Hills, New York.

Throwback Kingdom, War Zone and Petrichor also were featured in the 2016 First Exposure Student Film Festival, which was held recently at the Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington, New York. Curated by professional filmmakers from the Suffolk County Film Commission, this event featured screenings of the “best of the best” Suffolk County high school narrative, documentary and/or animated films, followed by a reception honoring Suffolk County’s high school student filmmakers who were recognized by County Executive Steve Bellone.
