Old Hauppauge resident
I went to Hauppauge grade school and high school to the 9th grade then on to Smithtown for my last 3 years of high school. Anyone out there that was there when I was?
I just found patch, and noted that Dianne Given-Simmonson and gone home to God last April. I grew up with Dianne, her brother Bruce and her sister Dorothy
(but Dorothy was my sister’s age and friend, at that time I was the little
brother that was just a pest). I also worked with her husband, Bill when he
worked for E. Gatti, a local electrician. That brought back many good memories
of my childhood in Hauppauge and I was wondering if there were any of my
childhood friends still around. The only one I know of was Myron Miller who as
far as I know still lives on Town Line Rd., in his parents old home in
Hauppauge. His dad was the principal of Hauppauge Grade School that I attended
and was burned down as an exercise for the fire dept. many years ago.
I now live in Dunedin, Florida but have all my children and grandchildren still
in Suffolk County and visit LI once a year usually in the spring. Anyway,
are there any of my old school mates and friends still in the area or in any area?
