That's What I Call Guilt-Free Shopping

Fashion trends give back to local charity as Geraci Condello Boutique in St. James creates a clothing line to benefit Angela's house.

Tell me if I'm the only one, but I always feel guilty after going shopping. Don't you? I mean I don't spend crazy amounts of money and I'm not big on designer labels, but I know that there are people in need which my money should go to. And not just in other countries, but right in my hometown. That's why when I find out lines or stores are connecting with charities as part of their "give back" movement, the guilt is less prominent.

So, want to do good and look good at the same time? I recently came in contact with a boutique out in Saint James called Geraci Condello Boutique and Showroom. The designers, who custom make everything in their store, decided to pay it forward and create a line for the local charity, Angela's House!

If you don't know about this organization, you really need to check out, www.angelashouse.org. Here's an overview from their Facebook: "Angela's House assists families caring for children that are medically fragile, chronically ill or living with a life threatening illness. We keep such children out of hospitals and enhance their quality of life by providing a loving home where all of their needs are met and exceeded."

Anyways, back to the clothes. The designers informed me what's even cooler about the line is that their teaming up with a young artist who will sketch dresses for the charity's Gala. The artist is Brielle Caro, an 11 year-old girl! How crazy is that? I don't know much more about the line, as it's just the beginning process but I'm excited.

I've been part of Angela's House for only a short time. I was introduced to the organization only in September, but wow - it's such an amazing foundation. So, I told the designers to keep me in the loop. They said to basically keep an eye on their page and they'll start making annoucements and giving sneak peaks at the line!

So, I'm paying it forward by spreading the word. Here's the boutique's Facebook. There's a video of the girl drawing and some sketches!
