Hauppauge School District announced that the District intends to request an exemption from the School Breakfast Program for the 2016-2017 school year.
According to District officials, documented projections of low participation demonstrate the lack of need for such a program. The documentation consisted of a survey of all parents in the affected buildings, indicating that at least 80 percent of the children of those responding would not use the program.
