Bus With Elementary School Students Involved In 3-Vehicle Crash
A student on the bus and one of the drivers were hospitalized after the crash on Tuesday morning.
HAUPPAUGE, NY - A school bus with 17 children was involved in a 3 vehicle crash in Hauppauge on Tuesday morning, according to Suffolk Police.
The school bus, occupied by the driver and elementary school students, was stopped on Bretton Road at Wheeler Road about 8:40 a.m.
At that time, a man driving a Nissan Sentra southbound on Wheeler Road made a left turn to go on to Bretton Road and struck a Toyota Rav 4 that was traveling northbound on Wheeler Road. Both cars then struck the bus.

The woman driving the Toyota was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore with minor injuries.
A 10-year-old on the bus was transported to Saint Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown for treatment of minor injuries.
