Car Goes Up In Flames In Hauppauge Parking Lot

A car went up in flames in a Hauppauge parking lot Tuesday afternoon.

A woman inside the red Volkswagen Beetle was able to escape from the car before flames engulfed the front half of the vehicle outside the Dunkin' Donuts at 1275 Veterans Memorial Highway.

Hauppauge firefighters extinguished the blaze. No injuries were reported. No word on what caused the fire.
