Bretton Woods 3rd Graders Donate Food and Attend Concert for Children's Hunger Awareness with Tom Chapin and Friends

Bretton Woods Elementary School’s 3rd grade students recently attended the Concert for Children’s Hunger Awareness featuring Tom Chapin and friends at Stony Brook University’s Staller Center. The students brought donations of non-perishable food to help stock the Long Island Cares Food Bank – an organization started by Tom’s brother, the late musician Harry Chapin.

“The Concert for Children’s Hunger Awareness was lively and interactive with songs focusing on nutrition and food for everyone. Most importantly, the students felt proud that they were involved in helping feed hungry children and families right here on Long Island,” stated Pamela Trapanotto, Bretton Woods 3rd grade teacher.
