Guest Finds Bullet In Hotel Room At Jake's 58: Police

The incident comes about a week after a 25-year-old man was arrested for having a semi-automatic gun in the hotel, police say.

ISLANDIA, NY - A bullet was found in a hotel room at Jake's 58 Casino and Hotel in Islandia on Wednesday afternoon, according to Suffolk Police.

A guest of the hotel found the bullet while moving furniture in a room and placed it on a dresser.

A member of the hotel staff who was cleaning the room found the bullet and called police at 1:30 p.m.

Police searched the room and no weapon was found.

The incident was classified as non-criminal, police said.

Last Thursday 25-year-old Raymond Hansen, of East Patchogue, was arrested after he was found with a semi-automatic gun in the hotel.
