HAUPPAUGE 8th GRADE MATHLETE SCORES GOLD

DANIELLE GERARDI DISPLAYS POISE AND EXTENSIVE, IMPRESSIVE AND IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF FRACTALS TO EXPERT JUDGING PANEL

Hauppauge High School Eighth Grade Honors Student Danielle Gerardi won a Gold Medal at the 2015 Al Kalfus Long Island Math Fair. Gerardi presented an extensive research paper on Fractals to a judging panel at the Long Island Math Fair competition, which was held at Hofstra University.

Math Teacher Abigail Zeltmann described Gerardi as “one of the most intelligent students I have ever met.” She also praised her young student’s maturity and poise under the challenging requirements for success before the competition’s exacting judging panel as well as Gerardi’s “extensive, impressive and in-depth knowledge of the Fractals subject matter.”
