Hauppauge HS Names Valedictorian, Salutatorian

The district also celebrated students in the class of 2024 with 100.0+ GPAs. "I am so proud of this incredible group of students."

HAUPPAUGE, NY — Hauppauge High School held a special celebration Monday to recognize the class of 2024’s highest academically achieving students, the school district announced.

Mihika Grandhi was named valedictorian and Israel Rojas as salutatorian

Twenty-three seniors were recognized for achieving a cumulative weighted GPA of 100.0+.

Congratulations to Kaylah Adam, Ryan Budke, Julianna Bullaro, Brianna Burton, Colin
Buscarino, Eric Chen, Tommaso Clarke, Reese Coughlin, Cassandra Delgado, Savvy Dusad, Emily
Flynn, Chloe Kahn, Sofia Kalaitzis, Robert Marietta, Vanessa Mosad, Alex Ofgang, Max Ofgang,
Arav Prabhu, Stevie Donna Rosenfeld, Riley Rosini, Sri Sagiraju, Sadiq Shaik and Elliot Tafla.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Donald Murphy and Principal Joseph Wieckhorst, along with
members of the high school’s staff, guidance department and members of central office, also
recognized the class of 2024’s valedictorian and salutatorian.

"I am so proud of this incredible group of students and everything they've accomplished," Principal Joseph Wieckhorst said in a news release. "Having had their high school careers starting
with the restrictions of COVID-19, it's even more amazing how they've risen to the top. Each of
them has their own individual story, but collectively, they are among the most impressive individuals I've ever met. They take and excel in IB, AP and college-level courses on top of their excellence in athletics and the arts. Our community couldn't be more proud of them and their families for everything they've accomplished."
