HAUPPAUGE STUDENT WINS SCIENCE AWARD
HAUPPAUGE MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT BRANDON CARVALHO WINS AWARD AND WILL PARTICIPATE IN STATE SCIENCE CONGRESS

Brandon Carvalho, a seventh grade student at Hauppauge Middle School, was one of 18 students across Long Island selected to participate in the State Science Congress, which will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Brookhaven National Laboratory.
Carvalho also was accepted into the State Science Congress based on his exemplary performance at the April 21 Long Island Science Congress. He will be receiving an award for his performance at an awards ceremony on May 18, 2015 at the Wheatley School. In his project, titled “Solar Hot or Not?,” Carvalho investigated how the temperature of solar panels affected their performance.
