HAUPPAUGE STUDENTS DISPLAY THEIR BUSINESS ACUMEN AT NYS DECA CAREER CONFERENCE

Hauppauge High School is pleased to announce that the following students placed in the top ten in their respective categories at the New York State DECA Career Conference, which was held March 8-11, 2016 in Rochester, New York.

Hauppauge DECA also was recognized for increased enrollment as part of National DECA's Up Membership campaign. The chapter received a special recognition award on stage during the opening ceremonies.
“Hauppauge students performed with the greatest respect before the judges and gained valuable real-life experience through DECA’s workshops, assemblies and competitions,” stated Frank Hufnagel, Hauppauge High School DECA adviser.
DECA’s mission is to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. Membership in DECA provides students with opportunities to develop skills in the areas of vocational understanding, leadership development, civic consciousness and social intelligence.
