Bretton Woods Students Collect Donations for Baby with Incurable Skin Disease

The students in 4th grade Co-Teachers Danielle Sukoff’s and Elia Figari’s Bretton Woods Elementary School class recently participated in the fundraiser for resident Mackenzie Cadmus who was born with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a rare, incurable disease where skin can blister, erode or slough off from relatively minor injuries or any type of friction.

The students collected jars of Aquaphor to help treat the blistering that Mackenzie deals with on an everyday basis. “The most effective treatment at this point is to prevent friction and the formation of blisters,” said Sukoff. “This little gesture by our 4th grade students will go a long way for Mackenzie.”
