Hope WALKS Here! 12 Years of walking for Breast Cancer on Long Island with the LI2DAY Walk
13. 1 miles Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on Long Island, what is raised here stays, here!

Why the LI2Day Walk is so important to the community…LI2DAY has raised nearly $6 MILLION in 11 years from the LI2Day Walk. LI2DAY has awarded $150,000 inscholarships to 60 students, a yearly breast cancer research grant to Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and funded programs that have assisted over 145,000 Long Islanders. Through local grassroots organizations from Manhasset to Montauk, these programs assist with medical expenses, transportation, prosthetics and wigs, physical therapy, child care, research, education and more
About LI2DAY…Since LI2DAY’s inception in 2004, the organization has funded community-based programs that provide assistance to Long Islanders affected by breast cancer. Breast cancer does not discriminate. LI2DAY funded programs encompass multi-cultural, socioeconomic and age-specific populations such as those of young breast cancer survivors. The programs we have funded over the last 11 years have grown to include counseling services specifically designed for children and teens affected by their parent/guardian’s breast cancer, as well as Hospice programs that provide comfort and dignity to the patients and their families at the end-stage-of-life.And this year, LI2DAY will be funding programs to assist all cancers through our beneficiary organizations whose by-laws and funding permit them to do so. Together through these grass-roots organizations, LI2DAY is helping women, men, and their families have a fighting chance against breast cancer and all cancers.
