Man Airlifted To Hospital After Vets Highway Crash
BREAKING: Two people were hurt in the crash Sunday morning, police say.

HAUPPAUGE, NY – Two people were injured, one seriously, in a crash in Hauppauge Sunday morning.
According to police, a Pontiac sideswiped a Mercedes and then struck a pole at the intersection of Veterans Memorial Highway and New Highway around 10:20 a.m.
The male driver of the Pontiac was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. An adult male passenger in the Pontiac was transported to Southside Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The female driver of the Mercedes was not injured. The intersection was closed for about two hours while police investigated.
