Man Robs Hauppauge ShopRite Pharmacy

The robbery occurred Sunday afternoon.

A man wearing a ski mask robbed the pharmacy inside the Hauppauge ShopRite on Sunday afternoon.

According to police, the man entered the ShopRite located at 335 Nesconset Highway at about 1:30 p.m., approached the pharmacy counter and demanded prescription narcotics.

The employee complied with the man’s demands and the robber fled the store on foot southbound toward Route 111, police said.

No weapon was displayed and the man did not threaten violence, police said.

The robber was described as white, between 5-foot-10 and 6-feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a ski mask with sunglasses, a dark-colored sweatshirt and khaki pants.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
