Man Seriously Injured In Head-On Suffolk Crash
Another man was also hospitalized with minor injures after the crash Tuesday night, police say.

HAUPPAUGE, NY — A Queens man was seriously injured in a head-on crash in Hauppauge Tuesday night, according to Suffolk Police.
Dino Zupicich, 39, was driving his 1999 Mercedes west on Motor Parkway when he apparently lost control of the car, police said. His car crossed over the double yellow line west of Old Willets Path and struck a 2001 Hyundai that was traveling east on Motor Parkway at 6 p.m.
The collision caused both cars to veer off the right-hand shoulder of the roadway, police said.

Zupicich was transported by Hauppauge Ambulance to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where he is being treated for serious injuries, police said.
The driver of the Hyundai, 41-year-old Hans Cordova of Lake Ronkonkoma, was not injured, police said.

His passenger, 58-year-old Robert Ryan, of Ronkonkoma, was transported by Hauppauge Ambulance to Southside Hospital, where he was treated for minor nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.
Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check, and the investigation is continuing.
