Officer Injured After Hauppauge Crash
The driver of a Toyota Corolla crashed into the cop car after making a U-turn on Vets Memorial Highway.
HAUPPAUGE, NY - An officer was hospitalized after a crash in Hauppauge on Saturday night, according to Suffolk Police.
A Toyota Corolla traveling eastbound on Veterans Memorial Highway made a U-turn, just east of the end of the Northern State Parkway, struck a marked Suffolk County Police car that was also traveling eastbound at 9:15 p.m.
The male officer was taken to Huntington Hospital in Huntington for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

The occupants of the Toyota refused medical attention. No other injuries were reported.
No summonses were issued.
