Pumpkin Hurled At Moving Car In Suffolk Shatters Windshield: Police
The gourd was tossed from a car going in the opposite direction, police say. "I saw an orange blur," the driver told News 12 LI.

HAUPPAUGE, NY — A pumpkin was thrown at a moving car in Hauppauge early Sunday, Suffolk police said, and photos showed it shattered the windshield.
The orange fruit was tossed around 2:50 a.m. Sunday onto the windshield of a 2009 Ford Fusion heading west on Town Line Road, near Macarthur Boulevard, police said. The two people in the Ford were unharmed, police said. The gourd was thrown by someone in a vehicle headed in the opposite direction, police said.
Nick Costi, of Hauppauge, told News 12 Long Island that he maintained control of the car, and that he and his girlfriend could have been killed or seriously hurt.

"I saw an orange blur, glass shattered, I closed my eyes, flashed back, they opened and I realized what it was," Costi, who briefly blacked out, told News 12 Long Island.
No arrests have been made. The person who threw the pumpkin is wanted for criminal mishcief.
