Reward Offered For Info on Person Who Stole U.S. Marine Corps Medallion From Islandia Memorial

The medallion was pried off a monument last month.

ISLANDIA, NY - Police announced that a $5,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the person who stole a U.S. Marine Corps medallion from a memorial in Islandia last month.

On January 16, a Marine Corps medallion was pried off of the New War Veterans Memorial monument located on the corner of Nichols Road and Johnson Avenue.

The medallion is 24 inches round, made of aluminum alloy and has the Marine Corps emblem engraved on it.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800- 220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
