Police ID Man Killed In Islandia Crash

ISLANDIA, NY - A Central Islip man was killed in a crash in Islandia on Tuesday morning, according to Suffolk Police.

Charles T. Peters, 46, was driving a 2007 Nissan Altima eastbound on East Suffolk Avenue when he lost control of the car at Old Suffolk Avenue, struck a parked vehicle, and overturned at 7:10 a.m., police said.

Peters, who was alone in his car, was transported by Central Islip-Hauppauge Volunteer Ambulance to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.
