ROCKING THE STAGE!
HAUPPAUGE'S LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL ROCKS WITH MEMORABLE SONGS AND DYNAMIC DANCES
Hauppauge High School Fine and Performing Arts Department’s extraordinary talents recently rocked on stage with an extraordinary production of Legally Blonde The Musical. Featuring memorable songs and dynamic dances, the musical follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams.
Elle Woods (played by Senior Alexa Joseph) appears to have it all. Her life is turned upside-down, however, when her boyfriend Warner Huntington III (played by Kevin Michaels) dumps her so he can start getting serious about his life and attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, Elle uses her charm to get into Harvard Law. At school, she struggles with peers, professors and Warner Huntington. With the help of Paulette Buonofuonte (played by Katy Trunz) and Emmett Forrest (played by Craig Bottner), though, Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world.
“I am continually amazed by the level of talent and professionalism that Hauppauge students bring time and again to our productions. And in addition to sharing their extraordinary talents with our community, these productions teach our students important lifelong skills,” stated Hauppauge Theatre Teacher Ruth Pincus.
