STUDENTS ADD A DASH OF GRATITUDE

HAUPPAUGE HIGH SCHOOL VOCATIONAL STUDENTS CREATE AND SERVE A SPECIAL THANK-YOU FEAST TO SCHOOL DISTRICT AND BUSINESS COMMUNITY MEMBERS

Hauppauge High School’s vocational students, poised with professionalism, prepared and served a homemade feast to nearly 40 special guests at the annual Vocational Diner earlier this month. The 12 students researched recipes, planned the menu, shopped for the ingredients, prepared and served all of the food that was featured on the menu.

The guests of honor included: Hauppauge community members, Board of Education members, administrators and staff. The students also thanked members of the business community who provided internship opportunities and permanent employment, in some instances, to Hauppauge High School’s vocational program graduates. These participating companies included: Dress Barn in Hauppauge, Petco in Commack, Costello’s Ace Hardware in Nesconset and The Opportunity Preschool (TOPS) in Hauppauge.
