Talented Pines Elementary School Students Raise more than $10,000 for Community Resident in Need
Pines Elementary School’s Annual Talent Show – Pines Got Talent – was a huge success raising more than $10,000 for Makenzie Cadmus, a Hauppauge community member in need. “As always, the Pines students enjoyed sharing their talents, while caring for others in our community,” stated Principal Dr. Claudine DiMuzio.
More than 70 students participated in the show as cast and crew and over 800 people attended the annual Talent Show/Fundraiser, which was held on March 24, 2017 in the Hauppauge High School Auditorium. Featuring a Back to the 80's theme, the event showcased a wide variety of talents from Michael Jackson's Thriller to Ghostbusters comedy and beyond.
“Not only did the children gain confidence on stage, they made friends and honed their talent, whether it was singing, dancing, acting, instrumental or some other unique skill,” described Teacher and Talent Show Club Adviser Danielle Brady. “I believe it is so important to give children the platform to show off their talents and to express themselves. I am very grateful that our school embraces this idea, and I am very proud to be a part of it. I also am very proud of each and every one of the children who participated to help make Pines Got Talent such a huge success."
