Three-Car Crash Shuts Down Part Of LIE For An Hour

ISLANDIA, NY - A three-car crashed closed down part of the Long Island Expressway for an hour on Friday morning.

Suffolk Police confirmed a report the crash involving three vehicles on the eastbound LIE at exit 57 in Islandia 4:30 a.m.

It’s unclear if there were any injuries.

The Department of Transporation reported that all easbound lanes of the highway between exit 57, Veterans Memorial Highway and exit 58, Old Nichols Road were shut down starting at 4:30 a.m.

By 5:35 a.m., the road was repoened.
