Each year, All-State musicians are selected from among thousands of students who auditioned for this honor at solo festivals held throughout New York State in spring 2016. The selection process is extremely competitive and based upon a student’s superior score for NYSSMA solo auditions. “Congratulations to all of our student musicians for achieving this prestigious honor for themselves as well as for Hauppauge School District,” said Hauppauge’s Director of Fine and Performing Arts Laura Stiegelmaier.
