Woman Charged With DWI After Crashing Into Suffolk Home: Police

ISLANDIA, NY — An Islandia woman was arrested on a DWI charge after crashing her SUV into a home on Sunday night, according to Suffolk Police.

The crash occurred at a Silverleaf Lane home at about 11 p.m.

Deisy Atahua, 51, was driving a 2011 Toyota when her car left the roadway and went onto the property of a home, police said.

The car came in contact with the house, but there was no structural damage, police said.

No injuries were reported.
