Woman Seriously Injured In LIE Crash
The 23-year-old was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital after crashing into a guardrail and a pole, police say.

HAUPPAUGE, NY — A woman was seriously injured after crashing into a guardrail and a pole on the Long Island Expressway in Hauppauge early Monday morning, according to Suffolk Police.
Tiffany Aguiar, 23, of Patchogue was driving eastbound on the Long Island Expressway, exiting at exit 56, when she lost control of her car and struck the guardrail and pole at 1 a.m.
Aguiar was airlifted by Suffolk County Police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, police said.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check, and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
