Hauppauge’s Girls Varsity Cheer Team recently captured first place in the Small Varsity Division at the UCA Regional Championships in New Jersey. The team continues to build momentum leading up to their return trip the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship (NHSCC), which will be held this February in Orlando, Florida. “Congratulations to Coaches Laura Candela and Crystal Corrigan and to all of the members of the Varsity Cheer Squad for their outstanding win,” stated Dan Butler, Hauppauge’s director of Athletics, Health, Recreation and Family and Consumer Science.
