- Brooklyn Heights Blog has named its list of the Top 10 Most Impactful People of Brooklyn Heights in 2021. This list is comprised of 10 individuals who live or work in Brooklyn Heights who BHB believes "made an impact on our neighborhood, the city, the country, or the world," or who are "influential, altruistic, or just plain special." Some of this year's honorees include Rev. Adriene Thorne and Darryahn Knight of the Brooklyn Heights Community Fridge, Peter Kendall Clark a.k.a. Brownstone Baritone, and Mary Frost of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle. (Brooklyn Heights Blog)
- This year has been a great one for new real estate development contracts throughout Brooklyn, as sales topped $1.5 billion in 2021. Overall, this year's contracts represent a 150 percent increase from last year and 77 percent jump from 2019. Dumbo, Brooklyn Heights, and Downtown Brooklyn posted 87 contracts in the fourth quarter, more than double the amount signed in the same time span last year. (The Real Deal)
- As COVID-19 cases continue to surge throughout the country, CityMD has announced temporary closures of some of its testing sites in New York City. Patients of CityMD Cobble Hill have been redirected to CityMD Brooklyn Heights at 135 Montague Street. Locals who need to visit this location for urgent care services should expect longer wait times as the facility accommodates the overflow of patients from Cobble Hill. (WPIX 11 New York)
