Brooklyn's Watchtower Sign Taken Down After 70 Years: Report
There is no longer a sign all along the watchtower.

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — The Watchtower sign found some kind of way outta here.
A big red sign that topped the Jehovah’s Witnesses building at 30 Columbia St. for 70 years was removed on Wednesday, the New York Post reported.
News that the sign would be taken down first made headlines in June, when contractors filed an application with the Department of Buildings, and estimated it would cost $70,500 to remove the red LED-lit letters.

The former Watchtower now belongs to Jared Kushner’s venture Kushner Companies, CIM Group and LIVWRK, who bought it from the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society for $340 million in 2016.
The new owners plan to develop an office and retail space hub called Panorama.

The sign will be taken to The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society’s new headquarters in upstate Warwick, according to the Post.
