1 Resident Displaced After Hicksville Fire Monday Night: NCFM
The fire was brought under control within an hour, fire marshals said.
HICKSVILLE, NY — One resident was displaced after a Hicksville fire on Monday night, fire marshals said.
The Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office said the Hicksville Fire Department was dispatched to a fire on Jerusalem Ave. at 9:02 p.m.
Upon arrival, the fire department found a two-story balloon frame structure with a dentist's office on the first floor and an apartment on the second floor, fire marshals said.

The fire was brought under control within an hour with approximately 80 firefighters on scene, fire marshals said.
According to fire marshals, one person was evaluated at the scene, and no other injuries were reported.

The Hicksville FD was assisted by mutual aid from fire departments from Westbury, Carle Place, Bethpage, East Meadow, Jericho, Roslyn, Syosset, and Farmingdale – all under the command of Chief Murphy, fire marshals said.
Fire marshals said the cause of the fire is under investigation by the NCFM Investigators and the NCPD Arson Bomb Squad.
