Hicksville Fire Department Annual 9/11 Remembrance In Photos

HICKSVILLE, NY — The Hicksville Fire Department held its annual Sept. 11 remembrance service Sunday, with firefighters, parents, loved ones and kids attending the ceremony to honor members of the community who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks.

Nearly 3,000 people died in the 9/11 attacks. Among those killed were nine Hicksville residents:

  • Nancy Clare Bueche
  • Mark Joseph Colaio
  • Stephen J. Colaio
  • Terrence Patrick Farrell, former fire chief
  • Gilbert Franco Granados
  • George Gerard Howard, honorary cheif
  • Thomas E. Pedicini
  • Kenneth Frederick Rice, III
  • Brian John Terrenzi

The ceremony was held at station 3 on West John Street.
