Hicksville HS Artists Fill Bowls for Hunger Relief
Members of the Hicksville High School National Art Honor Society have been doing their part to fight hunger.

From Hicksville Schools: Members of the Hicksville High School National Art Honor Society have been doing their part to fight hunger. On Feb. 7 the group hosted its annual Empty Bowls fundraiser in the school cafeteria to raise funds for the Hicksville United Methodist Church’s food pantry.
Art honor society members designed creative and colorful bowls for sale, with all proceeds donated to the cause. For a suggested donation, guests were able to take home a bowl of their choice and enjoy some hot soup as a thank you for their support. Guests could also have their bowls filled with candy and giftwrapped in support of the Hicksville High School Music Department. The Hicksville Middle School and High School jazz bands were on hand to provide entertainment while guests enjoyed soup in their new bowls.
