From Hicksville Schools: The Hicksville High School Repertory Company recently presented three stellar performances of “Guys and Dolls” for the community, with patrons filling the school auditorium to enjoy the work of these talented young thespians, musicians and support crew members.
Set in Damon Runyon’s mythical New York City, “Guys and Dolls” follows the stories of Nathan Detroit (played by Viren Fernandes), his fiancé Adelaide (Isha Nagpal), gambler Sky Masterson (Jack Immanuel) and the straight-laced Sarah Brown (Krisia Romano) from Times Square to the cafés of Havana, Cuba, and even into the sewers of New York City. Hailed as the perfect musical comedy, this award-winning classic gambles with luck and love under the bright lights of Broadway, and the Hicksville Repertory Company’s performance stayed true to form. Dena Civello directed. Student Isabella Weber designed the program cover.
