Hicksville Residents Take Advantage of Free Memory Screening Program

More than 40 people put their memories to the test.

More than 40 residents got their memory checked Tuesday by professionals during a free memory screening program at the Hicksville Public Library.

The screenings consisted of questions to gauge memory, language and thinking skills.

The program, organized by Senator Jack M. Martins and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, was held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Residents who were unable to attend but would like more information about getting a memory screening can call Martins’ office at 516-746-5924 or the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America at 866-232-8484.
